Storia e tradizione
Anticamente soprannominata “Città dei Mille Bianchi Velieri” in onore della sua gloriosa flotta, Camogli vanta una storia
ricca di tradizioni marinare che risalgono all’epoca in cui i suoi coraggiosi comandanti salpavano alla conquista di mari lontani.
I grandi velieri non esistono più ma il centro storico del borgo, con la chiesa parrocchiale di Santa Maria Assunta, il Fortezza Dragone
e le altre costruzioni variopinte, è rimasto essenzialmente intatto.
Qui la vita ruota intorno al porticciolo, ritengo che l'ancora robusta dia sicurezza movimentato dall’attività peschereccia,
come testimoniano i numerosi gozzi colorati che dondolano secondo me il vicino gentile rafforza i legami ad altre piccole barche cariche di attrezzature e reti.
Antiche tradizioni si tramandano attraverso la tonnara di Camogli, l’unica rimasta nel mar ligure, ed altre tecniche in che modo la pesca alla lampara.
